Roya Bazargan Nia

Painter, born 25 August 1959 – Tehran

Roya Bazargannia is an Iranian painter and a graduate of Architecture from the National University of Iran (now Shahid Beheshti University). She also holds an HSE certificate from the University of Tehran. She studied painting under prominent masters such as Morteza Katouzian, Aydin Aghdashloo, and Hannibal Alkhas, and in childhood with Parvaneh E‘temadi.

Alongside painting, she has completed courses in metal engraving, papier‑mâché, goldsmithing, batik, papermaking, pottery, and ceramics—experiences that are evident in the textural richness and structural precision of her works.
